BioMirco is a food supplement brand. This page explains what that does and does not mean for you and your healthcare.

Educational, not medical.

BioMirco supplements are food supplements. They are not medicines. The information on this website, including product pages, blog posts, the Knowledge Hub, the Glossary, and our online tools, is provided for general educational purposes only.

It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

When to speak to your doctor first.

Please speak to your GP, fertility specialist, midwife, or pharmacist before starting any BioMirco product if any of the following apply to you:

  • You are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding (your healthcare team should always know what supplements you are taking).
  • You have a diagnosed medical condition, including thyroid disorders, kidney disease, liver disease, diabetes, or autoimmune conditions.
  • You are taking prescription medication, including blood thinners, levothyroxine, methotrexate, or anti-epileptics. Some nutrients can interact with medication.
  • You are under medical supervision for fertility treatment (your clinic may have specific guidance on what to take alongside their protocol).
  • You have a history of allergic reactions to vitamins, minerals, or supplements.
  • You are under 18 years of age.

Health claims we make.

We only make health claims that are authorised on the GB Nutrition and Health Claims Register. Where we describe what a nutrient does, we use the wording approved by the regulator for that nutrient.

We do not claim that our supplements treat infertility, increase fertility rates, prevent miscarriage, or guarantee any health outcome. Nutritional support is one part of a much bigger picture.

Dosing and use.

Take BioMirco supplements only at the dose stated on the label. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

Keep all supplements out of reach of children. Store as directed on the bottle.

Reporting an adverse reaction.

If you experience an unexpected reaction or side effect after taking a BioMirco product, please stop use and contact us at hello@biomirco.com with the batch number printed on the bottle.

You can also report suspected reactions to food supplements directly to the UK Food Standards Agency at food.gov.uk. For suspected reactions to medication taken alongside a supplement, use the MHRA Yellow Card scheme at yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk.

If you are in distress.

If you are experiencing severe pain, sudden bleeding in pregnancy, signs of an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing, swelling, hives), or any medical emergency, call 999. For non-emergency clinical advice, call NHS 111.

For mental health support around fertility, the charity Fertility Network UK runs a free helpline at 0121 323 5025.

In short.

BioMirco is a food supplement brand. Our products are designed to provide nutritional support, made with active forms of vitamins and minerals, manufactured to UK GMP standards, and verified by third-party testing.

We are not a medicine, not a substitute for clinical care, and not a guarantee of any outcome. Please use us as one part of a wider plan that includes your own healthcare team.
